In conventional pumps, the liquid impeller is connected to the motor shaft with a sealing equipment (seal, gasket, O-Ring etc.). The intended use of these equipment prevents the liquid from coming into contact with the engine. Although it is a common method, sealing with such equipment involves a certain level of risk. In addition, if the liquid used is a flammable / combustible liquid, this risk level is further increased. For this reason, the use of magnetically coupled centrifugal pumps is preferred to pump liquids such as acids, corrosive liquids, high purity water, especially flammable fluids.
